1.2 - What relationships has the uses of digital technology created between the industries in the sector.
Software similar to Final Cut Pro - that is free - is probably the most difficult to come by because it is such a niche, and controlled program, that, I think, is worth forking out the money for if you are serious about editing work.
Photoshop
Originally used for photography, Photoshop is a photographic editing software. I find it very hard to come across someone now that hasn't at least used Photoshop once, or knows the basics to it. Free options to Photoshop include iPhoto, Pixlr andPaint, but, while Celtx can pretty much do the same things that Final Draft can, Photoshop is by far the bigger, and more advanced software out of the ones I've mentioned.
So, yes, it is a good thing that all these kinds of technologies exist, as it enables other industries to use these tools, too, not just Film and Photography industries
1.3 - Describe the key intellectual property and copyright issues, related to digital technology and content creation.
Copyright is the ownership of an intellectual property within the limits prescribed by a particular nation's or international law. In the United States, for example, the copyright law provides that the owner of a property has the exclusive right to print, distribute, and copy the work, and permission must be obtained by anyone else to reuse the work in these ways. Copyright is provided automatically to the author of any original work covered by the law as soon as the work is created.
2.1 - Explain what is meant by converging technology.
Technological convergence is the tendency for different technological systems to evolve toward performing similar tasks. Convergence can refer to previously separate technologies such as voice (and telephony features), data (and productivity applications), and video that now share resources and interact with each other synergistically.
The rise of digital communication in the late 20th century has made it possible for media organizations (or individuals) to deliver text, audio, and video material over the same wired, wireless, or fiber-optic connections.
2.2 - Explain the impact of converging technology on the workforce with specific creative media industry.
With new technology becoming more mobile most media content can be accessed on the go, while traveling by train, commuting by bus or from any other place away from home without the use of an adapter plugged into the wall mains.
One of the most popular tools and converged piece of technology we use today is the mobile phone now evolved and known as the Smartphone. Smart? Smart because it almost eliminates the need for consumers to carry multiple devices at once by converging previously separate technologies into a single device. Smartphone’s can send and receive emails, surf the Internet, play games and provide navigation.
3.1 - Describe how audiences expectations of technology change as technology changes.
This is FACT because as time goes on technology gets better and say as you phone you have today is good, in about 1 year it will be classed as a really bad phone to use in modern day to day situations.
3.2 - Describe examples of how ideas for a multi-platfrom content have been used to reach new audiences and generate revenue.
3.3 - Describe examples of commissioning processes and funding opportunities in relation to converging technology.
4.1 - Explain how to identify and exploit opportunities for converging technology.
4.2 - Identify, research, and plan, a product to be used within a converging technology.
4.3 - Evaluate findings from within a plan.
